SurreyTogether 2

This project sought to build on the success of the first round of the Surrey Together project to ensure that the Leaders, Chief Executives and strategic partners continue to come together in the spirit of collaboration and joint working to support the delivery of the Surrey Local Area Agreement and other key priorities.

What did we set out to achieve?

• Encourage joint working and collaboration between Surrey local government (senior politicians and staff) and key partners such as the Police, the Primary Care Trust, business and the third sector.
• Support delivery on the Surrey Local Area Agreement and other key priorities, such as performance in the Comprehensive Area Assessment
• Deliver a more focused platform for networking across Surrey.
• Encourage clearer objectivity in the setting of Surrey-wide priorities.

What have we achieved so far?

• Delivered events to support Surrey leadership and its impact on community vitality and sustainability.
• Established closer working relationships between Councillors, officers and key partners, through multi-agency leadership development days.
• Better communication and clearer objectivity in the setting of Surrey-wide priorities.
• Increased opportunities for joint working and efficiency savings.
