The South East Business Portal is an online contract hub where councils in the south east can advertise their current opportunities and suppliers can register both their business profile and their interest in particular tenders.

What did we set out to achieve?

• Realisation of savings to local authorities by implementing more favourable contract arrangements
• Realisation of savings to local authorities through a more efficient procurement process

What have we achieved so far?

Since Jan 2009:

• 1.1 million page views on the Portal
• 100,000+ Visits to the Portal
• Registered Suppliers up from 5219 to 11,600 (30 new suppliers registering every day)
• Portal has been presented at 30 Supplier events.
• 21st October 2009 was the bBusiest day to date with 1073 visits
• October 2009 saw the largest number of opportunities posted (98 listed)
• Bounce rate at 28% and declining
• 1056 Customer Service calls received (90% closed same day)
