Regional Procurement

This project is a requirement of the National Procurement Strategy for Fire. The project will develop a three-year procurement strategy and have a 12-18 month action plan detailing how the savings, opportunities and efficiencies identified from the spend analysis will be taken forward.

What did we set out to achieve?

• Agree on a mission and vision for regional procurement
• Decide on the background and position of the strategy
• Create a spend profile of the services
• Create a structure, governance and responsibilities plan for procurement
• Investigate processes, management and co-ordination of activities
• Create collaboration, e-procurement and training initiatives
• Create a Commodity Work Programme for the next three years
