New version of the CFC now available!

New Version of the Adult Residential and Supported Living
Care Funding Calculator (CFC) now available

Following consultation with local authorities and providers, iESE are today releasing new versions (version 6) of the Adult Residential and Supported Living CFCs, together with revised guidance. These can be found on the Social Care Efficiency Network (SCENE) website, which can be found on the below link:

The revised Residential CFC includes minor changes to aid data entry and navigation, whilst the Supported Living version includes more significant changes to address issues that have been raised by a number of users of the tool. All changes made have been outlined in an accompanying change document. The guidance can also be found on the SCENE website.

It is important to note that no changes have been made to either the cost assumptions or the cost data in these revised tools. We are currently undertaking a review of costs which we plan to complete by the end of the calendar year. As part of this process, we have published a survey on http://kwiksurveys.com?u=CFCCostReview, so that we can assess the confidence users have in the current cost items and in turn establish which key areas need review. The survey will remain open until 4 November. Once the review is complete, we will report on what (if any) changes we will make to the cost data items and apply the changes to the relevant tools for the start of the new financial year (i.e. 2012/13).
